So, Barrack (Barry) Obama was finaly made President of the good old U.S. of A. today. I couldn't help but giggle when he fluffed his oath. It was as if he was thinking 'just do it now dude'. 'Never mind with all the legal crap, just make me President'. Listening to his speech, and hearng the 2 million plus crowd cheer. I could not help but think of the South Park 'election' episode. "Change, Change. Change". " Yes We Can, Yes We Can", "Awesome, Awesome. Obviously done in a South Park styleeeee

So much for the seperation of State, and Church in the U.S. Obama made quite a few references to both, in the same sentence. In the same breath, and in turn meaning the same thing. This should be worrying for everyone. No one in his position should be using 'Faith' to guide him on 'Political' decisions.

The Americans are a strange breed indeed. I don't mean that in a bad way. Well, not entirely in a bad way, . I have some very good personel friends, who hail from that part of the world. I feel Obama just got elected on the fact the he is African/American. Anyone with an ounce of sense, knows that for all his retoric during the election campaign.  His policies just don't stand up under scrutiny. I hope I am proved wrong in that matter. Remember, when America sneezes, the rest of the world catches a cold. As is happening now with the global economy.

This current economic climate started with Americans, and will end with the Americans. For all his puffing and blowing. he now finds himself in the hot seat. He can no longer blame Bush, for anything. He is the man now, the man who has to make good on all of his promises.

Sure, he can't fix things over night. However, he can get a grip of the financial institutions, that have caused all this econimic trouble. In reality, nothing much has been done so far to sort all of this out. Apart from here in the UK. Even then, the banks just ignore what the Government want them to do. Dispite the Government (us the public) owning a hell of a lot of the banks concerned.

I wish Obama well in his term of office. I hope he comes through on all of his promises. However, I can't condone his desire to talk to terrorists. As a former soldier who spent a total of nearly five years of his life in actual combat. I have learned that it does no good to talk to terrorists. They only keep demanding things, until they get what they wanted in the first place. Once you concede to talking to one group of terrorists. Then the door way is open to all terrorists getting what they want.

Hopefully, it is a new beginning. Hopefully Obama can deliver, what we all hope he can. America leads the world, America calls all the shots. Wether we like it or not. So, Hail To The Chief.
